Old Heart Movie Tickets

The new feature film Old Heart (click on link for the trailer) shot here in West Michigan plays June 25 and 26 at Hope College’s Schaap Auditorium. Part of the Association for the Advancement of Dutch American Studies biennial conference, the film, adapted from Peter Ferry’s novel and a play, focuses on the Dutch Hunger winter of 1944-45.  Army vet Tom Johnson returns 60 years after the war to reconnect with a Dutch translator he worked with as part of a humanitarian relief operation that smuggled food from the liberated south to northern cities still behind Nazi lines.
