2025 Conference at Hope College, Holland, MI: June 26-28 Post-WWII Dutch Immigration to North America

The Van Raalte Institute at Hope College is making local arrangements under the leadership of our President Henk Aay. The hub of the conference will be the new Bultman Student Center Great Room. It is a multi-purpose space with state-of-the-art AV technology.

During the summer of of 2025, Rosemary Sloot will exhibit her collection Immigrant at the Kruizenga Art Museum. The “opening” will be held during the conference along with a talk by the artist.

Thursday: fieldtrip along Dutch American sites; Rosemary Sloot’s art exhibit at the Kruizenga Museum; Holland Museum; City of Holland attractions (https://www.holland.org)

Friday and Saturday: research presentations and Q & A; immigration stories; Tom Bijvoet, publisher and managing editor of Dutch the Magazine, has agreed to be our banquet speaker

Hope College has no overnight accommodations available; conferees will be making their own overnight reservations at area motels. We plan to reserve blocks of rooms at several reasonably priced motels in the city (incl. breakfast).
